I finally took and now am posting some siding pictures...now that on whole side of the house is done. I don't really have a lot to say (so unlike me), so I'll just post the pictures! I LOVE MY SIDING!!!

We have Cabinets and Men on Stilts!
Yesterday I went and finalized everything with Ron (at GPS) for our cabinets! We made some changes..but I love it all! He wasn't a big fan of the changes, but it's hard to convince a kitchen designer to change things. So we decided on Canvas with Cocoa Glaze in the whole kitchen. And Cognac in the Butler's Pantry. Both are Maple...and both are beautiful! We put the deposit down on them today!
And here are a few pictures of the design!
More siding and windows today!
And the funniest part of the day.......Little man, in PJs, walking around on stilts! I didn't get a picture of him..but I wish I did! Apparently they wear stilts (the PJs were an added bonus) to put insulation in the ceilings! It was interesting! And now we have insulation and our house will be warmer! YAY!
We have another inspection (on the insulation) on Tuesday. Tomorrow Joe and I go pick our granite and finish up the tile!

Inspection Day!
"A Gang Bang Inspection" is what John called it.....and it was! I was nervous b/c we had 3 inspections to get thru today.
First up was the electrical inspection. The inspector came early this morning..walked around and we PASSED!!!!!!
Next up was the building inspector.....he walked around and we PASSED!!!!!
And finally was the plumbing inspector and guess what...........WE PASSED! 3 for 3!!!! Happiness all around! :)
While the inspections were happening we had a lot going on. Mostly siding and window wrapping! It's all coming together! And I LOVE it! Love the color, love the way the windows look...and I am so happy with everything!
We also had the plumbers come and start working on placement of the new baseboard heat and where we want our shower fixtures.

Sunday Funday!
I ordered our bedroom furniture today! We had originally had 6 sets we liked or loved! Then we narrowed it down to 3 sets we found and then we bought our favorite! Of course NOTHING comes easy...as you've seen in the past. So once we narrowed it down to our top 3...and measured the room....we found out NONE of the beds would fit. The King mattress and the box springs will fit...but none of the frames, headboards, etc would.
We liked the set so much though, so we decided to not get a frame/headboard yet..but order the dresser, mirror and night stands. We found our top 3 sets @ Macy's in Wayne. It's the furniture store!
Here is our set! It's "Moderne" by Cresent. The pictures do not do this set justice! It's gorgeous in person!
http://www.cresent.com/moderne.aspx
Dresser and mirror....but our mirror is wood.
**I think this picture came from a showroom.....i took it from their website**
I'm thinking we will get an upholstered headboard similar to this one.......maybe not white, but I haven't decided yet!
I can't wait to have it all set up!!!!!

First "BIG" purchase!
We made our first BIG purchase last night!!! A microwave and chimney hood for the kitchen!
John informed us the other day....that putting a microwave on the counter in a new, beautiful kitchen..."would look like ass!" (this is a key phrase of John's, and I like it so much I've added it to my repertoire!) So he suggested looking into a microwave drawer (!!!!????!!!!) WHAT??? They make those.......
I KNOW!!!!! So excited!
So off I went to google them, and the pictures looked fancy! I ran out to PC Richards to check them out, and I fell in LOVE! It was soooo nice and a perfect little addition to the family (of appliances)!
So I got on the phone with Phyllis...my Nana's wonderful friend, and friend of the family for many, many years..who's also THE "appliance lady"....and she priced them out for me! And I ended up ordering it! I will be getting all my appliances thru Paul's Appliances in Newark, NJ!

FANCY...right? Here's a link to the actual description! http://www.paulshomeappliances.com/products/Sharp/shp/kb6524ps.html
So that was ordered and so was my chimney hood! A reminder....

So those are the first 2 purchases we've made.....and it was very exciting!

Windows and Doors...YIPPPPEEEE!!!!
So we missed our inspection for yesterday b/c our windows didn't come in.....until yesterday! But that was OK, b/c the plumbers and electricians had so much work to do they weren't really ready either. So everything happens for a reason! This whole week every one was still very busy getting ready for the inspection...plumbers, electricians and HVACers were all busy little bees! John and crew gutted the rest of our house....the hallway, old bathroom and then when the windows and doors came in...they installed them!
First came the new side door to the mudroom...It's a Simpson Door and comes from the Bungalow series! We will be staining it a dark wood color!
Next came the siding delivery!!! Looks sooo nice in the box! Doesn't it?!?!?

Then the windows and french doors came and John put them up immediately! I have gotten sooo many compliments on these windows and doors in the 24 hours they've been up! For those of you who don't know...they are Jeld Wen and apparently they are GREAT windows for a lot less than a lot of other windows out there! The French Doors are Jeld-Wen also!
And finally today......some of the siding went up! LOVE IT!!!!!! Again, everyone that's seen this color says how nice it is..and what a great color we chose! Anyone who talks to Joe about this color....he likes to think he picked it.... just gently remind him that HE WANTED BLUE.....I WANTED GREEN! Please and Thank You! :)

Sunday Funday
As promised....all of our bathroom fixtures!
Let's start with the master bath! This is the vanity, BUT it's a double vanity....so a set of drawers on either side (B6 on the list below the picture). In maple, nor cherry...and a more mocha color than cherry. The counter will be a slight off white. Vanity is by NY Vanity...and it's in style Arta.
http://www.zeekskitchens.com/pdfs/arta.pdf
And the faucet is Moen, Kingsley in a brushed nickle.
The shower will have semi-framless doors and 2 shower heads. A handheld and then a stationary. We were originally going with a rain head...BUT b/c the shower has such nice, high ceilings..we opted to keep those and do away with the rain head. We are doing the body sprayers though...3 of them! All in brushed nickle!
Toto Toilets in a slight off white too.
The new First Floor Bath will have this vanity..again by NY Vanity. In the Linio collection. Same color and doors as seen on the left. Linen colored sink and counter.
Similar faucet, again by Moen...only it's one piece and it's in chrome.
Same toilet by Toto...
This gets a chrome shower head and a regular glass door. Oh and the shower pan is neo-angle. (Fancy term for a corner shower if I am even saying it right!).
And that's that for the bathroom fixtures! Everything is starting to come together!!!!!
